The ultega racer 100 exercise bike is a decent piece of equipment that lets you perform standard cardiovascular exercise from the comfort of your own home. It’s 11 lbs flywheel provides eight levels of resistance that are smooth and challenging enough for a variety of users. It’s design makes it comfortable and easy to use. Even at it’s entry level price it offers quite a few features including: a high-adjustable seat, ergonomic movement, and multi-grip handles.
The LCD display is a bit more clear and advance than others in it’s price range, offering calculations of speed, time, distance, and calories. It’s easy to set workout goals and track progress while you’re cycling. It even contains some small bonuses like a built-in bottle holder and a small footprint, making it possible to fit into any living space.
What Others Are Saying
Most users say that the ultega racer 100 exercise bike is really easy to assemble and that it meets most of their performance expectations. However, there are some complaints that the seat is somewhat uncomfortable and that it can feel a bit unstable.
What I Think
I purchased this bike because I was looking for something small and cheap. I live in a studio apartment, so I don’t have a lot of space or money. After using it for about a month now I have some good things to say about it and a couple negatives.
It was even smaller than it appeared in the pictures. It fit perfectly into my living space and was very easy to assemble and move around. It’s completely silent, so I can hear my television while using it and I haven’t gotten any complaints from the people downstairs when I’m riding. It also has a really good range of resistance for this price. The display is pretty high-tech looking for the price. The screen is clear, the menu is straight-forward, and it tracks an adequate amount of stats.
It had a really bad burnt rubber smell when I received it, but thankfully it’s mostly worn off with time. The display doesn’t seem to reset when you’re done. I have to actually pull out the batteries to get everything back to zero, which is kind of a pain. Like others have complained, it can feel a bit flimsy. I mean, I’ve never been scared that it would collapse underneath me, but I would not recommend this to you if you are near or over it’s weight limit of 220lbs.
Ultimately, the ultega racer 100 exercise bike is pretty average. It will get the job done if you have a limited budget or a small space, but it does have some issues. I would not recommend it if you are tall and/or near it’s weight capacity. If you can afford better quality I would shop around before deciding on this one.
